Anthony Joshua prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-bout fight which will be broadcast in real-time on Netflix.
Briton Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the pair confronted each other to build hype for the upcoming bout.
Former two time unified heavyweight champion Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge mismatch - at Miami arena on December 19th.
Fighter's Mentality
"I will break his face and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," Joshua, 35, stated.
"I will dominate him completely. That's how fighters think.
"I intend to really want to cause him pain. That's my goal."
Respectful Interaction
Despite those words, a calm Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - typically famous for his theatrics - were respectful and kept it respectful with each other.
Jake Paul instead attacked ex Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and described him as "ridiculous" after Ngannou turned down a fight offer.
Targeting Fury
Joshua, in the meantime, criticized UK rival Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul win.
"Jake Paul is better than Fury - he showed up," Joshua stated.
"I respect him for that."
Legitimate Opponent
Despite stating he plans to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to talk badly about his rival's pugilistic talent.
"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he remarked.
Paul's History
Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mostly boxed mixed martial artists or faded names since entering professional boxing.
He was defeated by Briton Fury in last year.
Commercial Success
Still, the relative newcomer is still one of boxing's largest financial successes, regularly earning massive paydays.
Prediction and Belief
The 28-year-old predicted a stoppage in rounds four or five and stated he would derail the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently in the works for 2026.
"It will be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul stated.
Physical Difference
As both boxers engaged in the traditional confrontation, with their size difference evident, it highlighted just how improbable this complete situation is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is actually going ahead.
